| In 1991, David along with older brother Ernie, formed a group and name it "Killing Season," after their first song produced by the band. Along with childhood friends, Louie Alvarez (guitar), and Corey Stadnick (drums), David wrote most of the lyrics and sang lead vocals while Ernie played the bass guitar. Lead guitarist Derek Olzenski aka D'Ollan, joined the group a year later. In 1992, Killing Season released their first album titled "Killing Season." The album depicted the bands versatility in creating original music and landed them shows all over south Florida. They soon developed a loyal following and played with top billing bands in the hottest night clubs. Like most bands, the sudden thrust to popularity came with a price. By mid 1993, Killing Season was slowly "killing" itself and the members decided to change it's tune. Long time friend, guitarist and fellow artist, Louie Alvarez left the band and for the first time since their inception the melodies and the leads would all be placed in the hands of D'Ollan. The season had ended. |

After many unsuccessful attempts the band finally made a break through with a remake of an original Killing Season song titled "Coming Home," which was a song written by Dz about his father. The new song was titled "First Breath," inspired by the birth of the new band and the enduring struggle and will of his fathers plight of 22 years spent incarcerated in Cuban prisons. The new sound was born. In late 1994, the band recorded their first album titled "Psychedelic Couch." featuring songs like; Groove Nuggets, Lamb of Christ, First Breath, and the title song Psychedelic Couch. They toured most of Florida and where soon on there way to becoming one of south Florida's top local bands. After four years and over more than 60 original songs the band decided to take a break. Some of the members went on to create other music projects. Others moved away. Dz returned to his art.
