Profile:   David Diaz, is a self taught artist influenced by
Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, and Joan Miro.  Throughout his
career he has developed a unique style of painting which
combines the use of vibrant colors with surreal and abstract
subject matters.  He is married with two children and resides in
Palm City, Florida, U.S.A.  
History
David Diaz,  was born in Miami Beach, Florida in June of 1967.   He
began painting at an early age influenced by illustrations and miniature
paintings sent to him from his father Ernesto Diaz Rodriquez  from
Cuba, while serving a 22 year prison sentence as a political prisoner.     
In 1986, while studying at the International Fine Arts school he began
painting murals at a local night club Fire & Ice, in downtown Miami.  
In 1989, he was Featured in his first one man show at the Gallery of the
Unknow Artist, in Miami Beach.
In 1991, David, along with his brother Ernie formed a band named
"Killing Season."  David wrote lyrics and sang lead vocals while his
brother played the bass.

In 1994, the band regrouped under
the new name "Core," and began
touring south Florida night clubs.  
Before long they developed a loyal
fan base and released their first
album "Psychedelic Couch."  David
designed the cover and inside
illustrations.

The Making of Blue

In 1998, he joined the Broward Art Guild, and became a member of the
board of directors and later secretary of the board of directors.  He
competed in numerous shows winning Best in Show, with his painting
titled "The Making of Blue," in the "color blue" exhibit.  Other awards
include, Peoples Choice Award, several second and third places, as well
as judges recognition awards.  
In 2000, he organized and participated in "Rock the Guild," a benefit which
showcased local artist and local music groups in downtown Ft.
Lauderdale.
In 2001, David relocated to Palm City, Florida where he now resides and
continues to paint and exhibit  his unique style of art and continues to stay
active in the community.
